MEET THE TRAINERS

Chad Flahive

Chad has parlayed his extensive background in health and rehabilitation, a lifelong passion for fitness, and his love of friends and community to create a community-driven vision for Public Body. Chad dreamed of creating a fitness program where people could not only work hard but play hard, celebrating group and personal accomplishments on the road to total hotness and awesomeness. His philosophy promotes a balance of intense exercise, balanced nutrition, and social play with like-minded fitness rockstars. Public Body is a reflection of his belief that it not only "takes a village" but that "we make the village," and that we can all be stronger together. Chad brings his knowledge, energy, creativity (and gratuitous, impromptu Beyonce’ dance moves) to create unique opportunities for all to push their limits and achieve results. Every session is a reflection of his commitment to challenge, entertain, and inspire. Chad has designed and led fitness classes at exclusive gyms and boutique clubs like Equinox, Barry's Bootcamp, and Reebok, among other Boston-area gyms and studios. He looks forward to getting it on with you this summer and is forever thankful for this fantastic community of fitness rockstars known as Public Body!

Ian Kilpatrick

Some mistake him for the quiet and gentle type, (let’s be honest, his hotness is unmistakable!) But after a few minutes workout out with Ian, and you realize that his is Public Body’s gladiator!  Ian has been active in athletics and fitness his whole life, and brings his athleticism to every session.  A fitness programming master, he is known for leading sport specific workouts for kids at the Competitive Athlete Training Zone in Needham and Hingham and exclusive fitness clubs in Boston. In the spirit of "fitness and fun," Ian collaborated with Equinox  and Life is Good to create unique group exercise programming designed to combine fun social interaction and serious sweat, which makes him a perfect fit for Public Body’s mission. Ian has spent the last two years as the Fitness Director at the Brookline Teen Center; a non-profit facility dedicated to bettering the lives of Brookline teenagers, and leads teams in training to compete in competitive races like the Spartan Sprint Race. Along with a lifelong love of basketball, he recently also competes in endurance events as ha completed the Boston Marathon 3 times!
