Join Public Body trainers Ian Kilpatrick, Maryanne Blake and Chad Flahive for an outdoor workout to support Ian Kilpatrick's Boston Marathon fundraising team. Spring is just around the bend and we're super excited to get outside with you for a Public Body workout to support a great cause that is near and dear to Ian. Check out his story below.
Public Body trainer Ian Kilpatrick has been the Director of Fitness Programming at The Brookline Teen Center for several years. At BTC he has seen first hand the direct and positive impact a simple physical accomplishment can have on a teenager. He has seen a depressed teen turn into a Spartan leader within a 45 minute workout and a frustrated, sad teen unable to accomplish anything climb over a 8 foot wall and immediately transform his outloook on life!.
Moments like these inspired Ian to run 26.2 this April. The Brookline Teen Center is a not for profit organization often overlooked becasue of its location, but nonethelss there are at risk teens in all towns that need places like the BTC. Ian says, "I am extremely grateful to say I will literally get to witness the positive impact your donation will have on the teens of this community, and when that happens I promise to pass the story along!"
Participants should meet at Boston's premier running store Heartbreak Hill Running Company at 10:30 am. From there, we'll head out to the parks for our workout!
